David Schneider is the Senior Practice Director for Private Equity at P&C Global where he has made significant contributions to the Firm as a member of the Corporate Performance and Strategy & Innovation practice groups. With a vast industry expertise spanning private equity, financial services, high tech, and professional services, David is a trusted advisor to leading organizations.
David’s educational background is equally impressive. He holds a BA in Economics from McGill University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. In addition, he has earned executive education certifications in Private Equity and Venture Capital from Harvard Business School and in Strategic Financial Analysis from London Business School.
Prior to joining P&C Global, David gained valuable experience at two prominent private equity firms, Blackstone Group and KKR. At Blackstone Group, he held a managerial role as an Investment Manager, where he played a key role in deal sourcing, conducting financial analysis, and supporting the execution of investment strategies. Before his tenure at Blackstone Group, David served as a Corporate Development Manager at General Electric, where he played a vital role in identifying and evaluating strategic opportunities for the company. During his time at KKR, David held the position of Associate, contributing to investment evaluations and assisting in portfolio management activities. These experiences at Blackstone Group, KKR, and General Electric provided David with a solid foundation in private equity operations, investment analysis, and corporate development strategies.
Leveraging his expertise, David has since led transformative projects for clients at P&C Global across diverse industries.
Beyond his client engagements, David plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of P&C Global’s private equity and corporate finance advisory work. As a senior leader, he is deeply involved in mentoring up-and-coming talent, ensuring that the next generation of consultants develops the critical thinking and analytical skills required to navigate the complex world of private equity transactions and investment strategy. He is also a trusted advisor in internal M&A discussions, helping P&C Global assess strategic partnerships and expansion opportunities.
Reflecting on his role, David shares, “I’ve always believed that private equity is about more than just numbers—it’s about finding value where others don’t, seeing potential where others hesitate. At P&C Global, we apply that same mindset not just for our clients, but for our own firm’s growth. Being part of a leadership team that actively shapes our strategic vision, while also mentoring the next generation of professionals, is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my career.”
What excites David most about his work at P&C Global is the opportunity to transform businesses at their core, not just through financial engineering, but by creating sustainable, long-term value. For him, private equity isn’t just about executing deals—it’s about building legacies.
“The best private equity strategies aren’t just about optimizing balance sheets—they’re about understanding what makes a business thrive. It’s about stepping into a CEO’s shoes, seeing where the true potential lies, and then building a strategy to make it happen. That’s what I love about this work—it’s dynamic, high-stakes, and incredibly rewarding when you see a company evolve into something stronger, more competitive, and more valuable than when you first started.”
David’s ability to blend strategic vision with hands-on operational insights is what makes him a trusted advisor to clients and a key driver of success at P&C Global.
Residing in Toronto with his wife and their children, David finds joy in exploring the world of culinary arts. He is an avid gourmet cook, constantly experimenting with new flavors and techniques to create memorable dining experiences. This passion for gastronomy fuels his creativity and attention to detail, qualities that are reflected in his strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
