When I hear experts talking about Quantum Physics as it relates to outer space my head hurts; however, a new generation of quantum physics bears our attention. The revolutionary idea is that quantum uncertainty is actually not a bug, but a feature. It provides new levers for more powerful ways to communicate and process data. One example is security because from a quantum lens, information cannot be precisely copied and therefore is unhackable. A quantum computer could perform previously unattainable tasks, like teleportation, where quantum particles in one location are replicated in another place. Sci-fi, you say? Not so in the quantum world where the future is yet to be written.
